The native Garhwalis generally make their living through different agricultural activities in the hilly land. Most of the native Tehri Garhwal people like Jaunsari, Buksha, Tharu, and Raji are Hindus and Buddhists.

There are many places to see in Tehri Garhwal region like Nagtibba, Devprayag and Khatling Glacier, or the ancient holy temples like Surkanda Devi, Buda Kedar Temple, Sem-Mukhem temple and Chandrabadani temple etc. Tehri Garhwal is another quaint but beautiful little hill district in Uttarakhand.
